Desorption of sodium diclophenac from silica—chitosan composites

Abstract

Desorption of sodium diclophenac from impregnated silicas with various surface liophilicity and from its composites with chitosan has been studied in this work. Polymeric composites were prepared by capsulation of silica matrices with impregnated sodium diclophenac by protonated and deprotonated forms of chitosan. Significant prolongation of sodium diclophenak release was detected at using of hydrophobic silica matrix and protonated chitosan as a polymeric shell.
