Abstract

Experimental lipophilicity of the pyridinecarboxylic acids derivatives was determined by high- performance liquid chromatography and their quantities were compared with the predicted lipophilicity using the computer-based programs.

Based on the statistical analysis of derived regression equations, the best predicting ability for the logP values calculation was observed for programs Dragon and ChemOffice. This could be used for the lipophilicity prediction of potential biologically active substances.
