Abstract

It is reflected in the historical aspect of requirement pharmacopoeial by Russia, USSR and Ukraine, in relation to preparation of suppositories and pessaries. The comparative analysis of requirements of DFU and USP is conducted to extemporal technology of suppositories. Differences are set in the indexes of qua­litative suppositories in relation to mass, sizes and shelf-life. USP has two sections of «Basis of preparation of suppositories. The medication sticks» and «Bases of technology of suppositories. Part 2 — Extempora­neous preparation», in which base positions of pharmaceutical technology and informative material are in relation to technology of suppositories and pessaries «ex tempore».
