Antistaphylococcal activity of cyclopenta[c]quinoline quaternary salts and their stirils
Abstract
Cyclopenta[c]quinoline quaternary salts and stirils, obtained from them by reaction with n-dimethylaminobenzaldehyde, possess antistaphylococcal activity. The influence of stirils substituents near the Nitrogen atom in the molecule of_cyclopenta[c]quinoline upon the collection strains and clinical isolates with various level of methicillin-resistance has been discovered. Efficient concentrations of cyclopenta[c]quinoline derivatives against Staphylococcus aureus have been ascertained.
