Abstract

The composition of essential oil obtained from the roots of Valeriana officinalis growing in Chercassy region and on the lake Baikal north-eastern coast was analyzed by chromato-mass-spectrometry. Significant differences were revealed in the compounds in valerian oil and also in the quantitative amount of many of them.
