Pigments of Shepherd’s purse herb
The quantitative content of chlorophyll a, chlorophyll b and carotenoids were determined in Shepherd’s purse herb using spectrophotometric method. The ratio of content of chlorophyll a, chlorophyll b (3,8) was determined. As a result, Shepherd’s purse herb is a heliophilous plant. The results that were obtained can be used in national quality specifications for Shepherd’s purse herb.
