The estimation out-patient consumption of penicillins in Ukraine
Abstract
The structure of the pharmaceutical market of antibiotics of group penicillins in Ukraine was analyses. The estimation out-patient consumption of penicillins during six years on Ukraine in DDDs/1000/day terms was conducted. ATC/DDD-methodology is recommended by WHO for estimation of consumption of medical products, which have appropriated ATC-code and allows to estimate consumption of medical products in real doses, irrespective cost of one packing, the medicinal form and manufacturer. Throughout the study period leading position took drugs with active ingredients. Such as amoxicillin, ampicillin and amoxicillin in combination with an inhibitor of the enzyme with a broad spectrum of antibacterial activity, favorable pharmacokinetic advantages and also low levels of antibiotic resistance to them.
