Comorbidity aspects of pharmacotherapy of the addictive dependence

Abstract

Important problems of modern clinical medicine and pharmacy act comorbidity and polymorbidity caused by the anatomical proximity of affected organs, a common pathogenesis causation or a random combination of diseases. The most common combinations of comorbidities is a combination of drug addiction, alcoholism and cardiovascular system diseases, digestive system and viral infections.

The purpose of the work was to research the aspects of comorbidity in the pharmacotherapy of addictive dependency by studying and systematizing data of the scientific literature of Ukraine and other countries.

Research materials were data of scientific literature on the problem of comorbidity in Ukraine and in the world (USА, Australia). Among the research methods used there were documentary, systemic, legal, comparative and graphical analysis.

Based on the results of data analysis of the scientific literature found that among comorbid alcoholism and drug addiction will the most common are disorders of the digestive organs, including bowel disease (59%); liver, gallbladder and biliary tract (43%); diseases of the stomach and duodenum (40%); disease of the pancreas (28%). The experience of the United States, where over 80% of health insurance (program Medicare) is to cover the cost of medical care for patients with more than four disease with a chronic course. Established that the presence among the patients 1, 2 and 3 or more of the comorbid illnesses frequency of contacts with a doctor increased to 14, 21 and 29 respectively. Found that remain unresolved issue of stay of patients with comorbid somatic disorders under medical supervision and timely passage of both clinical examination and appropriate clinical and instrumental studies. Forensic and pharmaceutical research of the comorbidity and polymorbidity continue.
