Synthesis and biological activity of arensulphonyl-oxamoyl- and arensulphohydrazidoxa lylamino acids and their salts with 2-ethoxy-6,9-diaminoacridine

Abstract

Arensulphonyloxamoylamino acids, arensulphohyrazidoxalylamino acids and their salts with 2-ethoxy-6,9-diaminoacridine were synthesized. Their structures were characterized by using IR, UV and 1H NMR spectroscopies. Biological study showed that the synthesized acids displayed high hypoglicemic and diuretic activity compared to chloropropamide and indapamide. Most of the synthesized compounds showed significant antibacterial activity compared to rivanol.
