Abstract

5-Aryl-2-furancarboxylic acids were synthesized from arenediazonium chlorides and furan-2-carboxylic acid or methyl 2-furancarboxylate in die conditions of Meerwein reaction. 5-(R1-Phenyl)-N-R2- 2-furamides (R1 = 2-F, R2 = РhСH2; R1 = 2-F, R1 = 2-ОМеС6H4; R1 = 4-F, R2 = 3-CF3C6H4; R1 = 4-F, R1 = 4-FС6Н4) which showed antimicrobial and antifungal activity were obtained.
